Talk about three incredibly gifted individuals who can make music fun and fill it with messages that today’s kids need to hear with a sound that is so contagious and makes you just want to sing along…right at that moment, and then for the next several hours and even days! Take a listen to some of their songs like Stories, Bible Book Bop and Saved. |

“Shout to the Lord Kids” This is a worship CD that both parents and kids can sing along to and with it enter into worship together. The songs on these CDs (there are 3 volumes) are ones we sing in main congregation worship times, so kids will be able to sing along when they join their families in those services. I love hearing the kids sing solos and recite the scriptures during the worship because it reminds me how God has ordained His praises to come from them! It also reminds me that kids can know and love the same God in the same way that adults can- not on their own “childish” level, but in a deep and true way. We use this CD for our worship times in kids church and incorporate both action times and times of just focusing on Jesus. It’s great for families to listen to in the car or at home too! |

“Scripture Rocks” This CD is excellent for a couple of reasons. First of all, the kids love that they are memorizing their “memory verse” without even trying! They just learn a fun, catchy song and poof! The verse is stuck forever! Most of the verses that have been solid in my own life are ones that I learned through song. The songs are easy to learn and put fun actions to. We even made a music video to one of the songs called “Go!” in my grade five class. We worked through the meaning of each word/phrase and discussed how we could communicate that to our school. Two years later they still remember the actions, words and the fun we had making the video. Other songs like, “Trust in the Lord” are great for worship times with the kids. You can even just have the kids learn the chorus and then have a solo on the verses so the song can be used with any ages quite effectively. |
